Short answer: Yes, you can rent a boyfriend in the Netherlands, and there are two different kinds. Platonic companion agencies offer a “boyfriend” for dinner, an event or a wedding, strictly without anything physical. “Rent a boyfriend” sounds like one service, but in the Netherlands it covers two quite different things. Knowing the difference saves you an awkward first message.

Neither is better in general. It depends on what you want the evening to be.
The platonic options, honestly
If you know you want nothing physical, a platonic agency may suit you best. Two examples you’ll find when you search:
- The Gentleman Companion (Amsterdam) lists morning, afternoon and evening packages of three hours at €165 each, and at the time of writing a two-hour trial offer. Bookings go through a request form, with a response within 24 hours.
- Boyfriend Agency offers verified, strictly platonic “boyfriends” for weddings, events and travel, from one day, with prices on request. First meetings are in public and boundaries are agreed in writing.

Can I book Milan for dinner only?
Yes. An evening can start at a restaurant table, and it can end there too. You can book me for dinner in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Eindhoven or wherever you are in the Netherlands, have a good conversation and say goodnight at the door. That’s a complete date, not a failed one.
What changes compared with an agency is that the door stays open. If you both feel like it, the evening can continue at your hotel or at home, but only when that’s agreed and wanted, and you can stop at any moment. Intimacy is never “included” because the clock is running.
